    Colt AR15 A2 Government Carbine

Picked this up yesterday for what I thought was a pretty low price..$650. Marked 'COLT AR15 A2 GOVERNMENT VARBINE' on left and 'RESTRICTED MILITARY LAW ENFOCEMENT GOVERMENT EXPORT' on right. 'CMB' marked upper..pencil barrel 'CMPicon NATO 5.56 1/7' (which I like)
Prefix is LGC 0080**, Im finding conflicting info regarding year there.
Anyone else with a gubmint carbine?

Nice price and a handy light carbine. Mine isn't Gov't, but assembled by me.

I had an identical one like yours Anzac15 but built before the '94 AW ban so it didn't sport the LEO only markings. It got sold in the great 2013 panic. Yours was produced after the ban for sale to LE only and not the general public. An interesting variant and great little carbine to shoot.

Get a few "Restricted" marked mags to go with it... not something that commands a real premium right now and they pair up real nice with a gun like this. Cool find!

The nice thing about your rifle is that you should be able to convert it to push pin front pivot by simply installing the spring, plunger & .250" push pin

Great weapon. I believe it is a 6420 or 6520 model because of the 1/7" twist pencil barrel. I think that is one of their best barrels, and I picked up a NIW 6420 barrel from a Colt's dealer, and put it on my carbine. My carbine will do under 1.5" at 100 with iron sights using 77 grain OTM (MK262 MOD1) ammo.
