    USGI M1 Carbine receivers

J&G is selling "original USGI M1icon Carbine receivers." that are "Inland Mfg and ready to build." for $499.95 each is this actually a good deal. Seem way over priced to me but then I don't know their value as a build your own M1 Carbine item.

M1 Carbine Inland Receiver Only, G-VG Condition, Used.

On that note: I'm leaving for the Philippines next week and every-time I'm there I shown M1's and M1 carbines and Japaneseicon rifles that are just laying around peoples houses. I know maybe bring back whole rifles is near impossible, but want about parts?

The M1icon Carbine is very popular in the Philippines.

    USAicon Baker,
Read my post #14 (and see picture) and read post #18 by Mike from New Zealandicon:

    https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=27987&page=2

    Are you currently serving?
I ask because I know how easy it is to get on the plane if so.

If I ran across misc parts, I'd be shipping them home, or mixing them in with misc junk hardware and putting in my checked luggage.
Small parts add up quick $$, but me not knowing the laws, Lawyer fees add up quicker!

But seriously how bad would a small pouch of odd and end parts, sights, bands.... etc look mixed with other "Antique Collectible Hardware" . Tie them on a boot strap and make a "Souvenir Necklace" or "Key Chain" or "Wind Chime" out of them. Like you see at Street level art festivals. Something to remember the locals from.

    LMAO,
    Good Luck

Hi Charlie, from the Philippine side parts would be no big deal and in the US I'm sure the only thing that WOULD cause problems is the receiver and more then likely the barrel. The bad part is you don't want to be caught buying firearms in the Philippines and not being a citizen their jails really suck LOL

You can import parts for any military rifle from anywhere in the world......EXCEPT any USGI rifles, pistols or parts there of. It's what our last Pres and the Hilda Beast did the last year in office to make their liberal anti gun people happy when there was the possibility of bringing the M1icon's in from Korea. They prevented that and added the parts to the ban too. So if you get caught with USGI parts attempting to bring them back it's a felony now and time in a Federal Country Club. Does it make sense??? Of course not but the liberal agenda never has made sense.

Firearm and firearm parts come under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)... here is some info on it...

    http://www.borderview.com/services/f...ption-service/

In a nutshell you cannot import more than $100 ($500 if from Canadaicon) of misc small arms parts without an import permit.

Bruce, Wow THANK YOU... I would have been arrested I'm sure as I had every intention of bringing home a 1903 Springfield Stock and small parts like the clips and trigger guard. WHEW... Thank you!!

Now i'm confused LOL but to be on the safe side i'll not bring anything back. I don't know and I can't seem to find any documentation that show this over rides the law signed in by Obama. and i'm out of time leaving in 3 hours.

Yup ITAR would have applied but by executive order from our former Pres changed it all. And until Trump or Congress over rides it the order still stands.
