    NPM unmarked barrel

Has anyone ever seen a NPM carbine with an unmarked barrel? I have one that is just like that. I examined it closely and there are absolutely no marks on it at all. Did NMP ever get unmarked barrels from a government Supplier? Ser.#4,311,98x. Thanks.

Look closely for a punch mark on top of the barrel, it may be under the bayonet lug if it has one. NPM used only a punch mark as their proof for some or most of their production.

Also, NPM used barrels from Underwood, Buffalo Arms, Marlin, IBM and possibly Inland too. Can you post some pictures of your barrel, especially around the gas cylinder?
