    JimF4M1's Still got that 2X M2 Trainer?

    Jim,
I ran across this old post today with a picture of your 2X Trainer.

Do you still have it ?
Also weren't you looking for a couple things/parts for it?

IIRC seemed like you needed the Dummy ammo (Plastic Isn't it?) and something else?
What's on your Birthday Wish List ???

I just can't remember but thought if you still have it and still need the parts, I could look/ask around for you this week.
The way I'm feeling, I believe I'll have some time on my hands this coming week.
Plus I know you'll be busy heading down to your annual unit meeting @ Coronado.

Let me know if I can help, I owe you that much. Now is when I really miss my little buddy Harlan. He and I made a good team chasing down odd and ends, and had a ball doing so. He'd call us Starsky and Hutch.

NOTE: Or forget all of the above if you no longer own it or have found the needed parts.

Let me know before you leave..... OH and Happy Birthday

    I'm serious,
    Charlie

    Charlie,

Yes, I still need a few things. Somehow lost the selector switch. It might have fallen out in our move. And I only have one of the plastic rounds. I'd like as many of those as I can find to fill the mag.

Any help would be appreciated. I'll try posting on the WTB forum.

And yes, Tuesday going to my old base and unit for our yearly Memorial. The last two times my buddy from Boston and our wives were taken out in San Diego bay for a four hour ride on the units new jet boats. Pretty dman cool for to old combat vets.

Some pictures then back to carbines.

Steve trying to tell them what to do.

They go 52 knots and can turn 90 degrees at 48 knots. They did it for us.

Ever seen a carrier from the waterline? probably not as you can't get within 300 yards unless in another Navy boat.

    Awesome pictures,
Face it you more than earned it to be able to get up close and personal.
90 degree at almost 50 knots? That's like a amusement ride. A 2 hand hold for sure.
    I used to race 12' hydro's with up to 125 HP.. That's a ride.
And I thought our 2-500hp Detroit Diesels was really pushing our 49' boat we kept at West Palm Beach, Fla Sail fishing.
HAAH spent more on that than my house cost.
I loved watching the wake she'd push!

I know your almost outta here, but wonder if we could borrow a real 2x selector switch if one could be made as a replacement?
Think about it, I owe you.

BTW, I'll keep asking and looking while your gone.

    Jim,
I know this isn't the WTB or WTS section, but It's a common thing on all our forums (When on topic) where someone brings up a part they seek for a Milsurp that's been brought up to share with the membership. Sometimes the poster is informed that his Surp is in need of part X.

While I got you, Any leads to a Type 1A Underwood mag catch?

Let me know.... And travel safe

Great pictures, Jim. I might actually see you wave when you cross into OR on Tuesday! I'm supposed to be down there around 11 AM to bring a buddy back from the airport. Drive carefully, and Thank You again for your service. - Bob
