    Canadian MKII helmet decal ID

Can anyone identify this Canadianicon helmet decal? It is on a CLC 1942 MKII. I've had no luck finding it on the web. Thanks!

Could it stand for "Home Defence"? Presumably Canadaicon had some sort of equivalent of the Home Guard to look after the Homeland?

It could also be a Highland Division decal that someone's stuck on the helmet to make it look more "ally".

Looks like a match to the Britishicon 51st Highland Division.
Next question, is it an authentic decal? Looks like it has been on there a long time.
And, why a British Div decal on a Canadianicon Helmet?

Exactly, not home defense but 51st UKicon. Likewise, possibly just put on there. 51st Highland Division, 51st (Scottish) Brigade's direct antecedent.

Is there any possibility that Canadianicon made helmets may have been issued to Highland Division troops for the Sicily, Normandy or Northern Europe campaigns or earlier in the war?

There is EVERY chance that these helmets were issued to UKicon troops. It's called Pooled Stores. Same as rifles, MG's vehicles........... think about it.........

The HD indicating Highland Division also indicated 'Highway Dodgers' due to their known tactic of travelling across country to avoid the heavily bombed and strafed roads

My point exactly. Just because it was made in Canadaicon doesn't necessarily mean it stayed 'Canadian'.
