    Range time with M1

Finally got a chance to shoot my latest purchase, GunBroker buy, 1943 new Boyd stock, non matching, but I love it. 30-06 is a thumper, makes my AR feel like a 22. The peep sight and my old eyes and glasses did not mix well, had to look over my glasses. She shoots beter than I am capable of. 80 trouble free rounds. Can't wait to shoot it some more. Got a couple of compliments on it from guys at the range too.

What's the story on the two lowballs side by side on both strings?

Started out aiming low, bottom of target, having never fired this rifle , did not want to hit the target holder, $25 penalty for hitting it. After I ran the target back and saw it was not shooting high I aimed at center.

Are you near-sighted? If so, try looking through the aperature of the rear sight without your glasses. I found that by doing that, my eyes was able to better focus (not perfect) and even though the target.....S1 at 200 yards.....was a little fuzzy, I could see the front sight on the target. Try it at home first and check it out. Better than looking over your glassed or through the sweaty corner of the lenses.
