    What am I looking at here?

    So while digging around at my local backwoods gun store I found this. The guy is sure that it is a mauser, it's a interwar rifle, and that it takes 8mm.
    I think it's a Karabiner 98b but unlike mosins I know nothing about identifying them.

    Yeah, that one is pretty obvious. Very good rifles, just not extremely collectible YET. But that will change.

    That was the wrong set of pictures that in another rifle I was looking at, Also is 700 too much to pay for that? the thing still has what I am guessing is cosmolineicon all over it. I'll try to post the right pictures later.

    $700 is WAY too much to pay for an M48. Really nice ones are available for $300-$350. Almost all of them still have cosmolineicon because they weren't used, just kept in storage and serviced every 5 years.

    I suppose a picture of the one you really wanted us to identify would help, even down here Yugoicon's aren't all that expensive.

    Ok thanks I'll apparently deleted the wrong photos off my phone and I'll try to get the right ones up as soon as possible
