    1937 S/237 (Berlin Lubecker) 98k

I aquired this one today at the gun show..guy was carrying it around, I saw the duffle cut and immediately called him over. A bit of haggling, and its on its way home with me.
It is missing a few bits...buttplate, top handguard, and barrel band retaining spring. But there was no way I was leaving without it.
As it is now, it is all matching, bolt, receiver, bands, etc...I know once new parts are fitted, it ceases being matching. But thats fine. Cant stand to see it in an incomplete state!
    Bore is outstanding, BTW.

I have not seen a laminated stock on such an early rifle. Did you ever check the barrel channel for a serial number inside the stock, to find out if it is matching or not? Also, the buttplate should still be serialized on your rifle. Check for a serial number there too.

Would you mind posting a picture of the bottom of the stock and the inside of the barrel channel?
