Quite a few things I've seen from this seller were put togethers, it would not at all surprise me if that's what this is. If the seller wasn't in the hiding mode why did he post long distance photos? Yes, dated Winchester barrels are seldom seen, maybe that's why it went for more than three K, still don't think it's all that though.

I see that this Winchester buyer bought a QHMC and RMC from Sam T Bob on the same day.... plus or minus $4000.00 for those 2 Reproductions.
Buyers feedback was all about the nice packing as always by S-T-B.
I think that explains all !

It is a possible type 2 housing. BUT it has been stated in some books that Winchester did not use the type 2 housing and only the type 1 and then the 3. But I do think it very well could be a type 2.

    Bruce,
    Let me rephrase...
Is this TH a Wide Rear Wall housing?
Was there ever a Type I trigger housing with a Wide Rear Mag wall?

    Thx

Charlie, If you go by Riesch it's a type 1. If by Ruth it's a type 2. But I would say it's a type 1 Winchester housing. I have never seen a type 1 with a wide housing. But the one photo even enlarged does not add any information to the question. I am pretty sure it's type 1.

Hey, that's right. Why in the heck would he post another carbine picture in his own thread about another carbine?
'Really Senior Member' Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.

Pictures are a very low quality, low pixels. When enlarged I think I see a T3 bb shadow and I think I see t2/3 BB marks on the stock but again pictures are poor and when enlarged REALLY poor.

First picture shows where I think I see the end of the T3 barrel band line and then the arrow pointing left would be the slight color change from that point....or it just could be me..

    Cali,
It's just to hard to tell.
Probably best we end this topic... If I may add this last note:

    Some can't take good pictures.
Some Don't want to take good pictures.

    Cheers,
    Charlie-Painter777
