Buying when you don't need anything..

This past Memorial day my Wife and I went by a Dunhams Sports, where they had a pretty good sale on guns.
I bought a DPMS Oracle flat top in 5.56 after mail in rebate for $450.00. I almost bought 2 with the Wife pushing me towards grabbing another at that price... "Since we're here", ya gotta love that. Almost did but figured I better see if I liked it first before grabbing another. Stashed it away with a couple other still in the box ARs. Wife picked up a Walther P22Q (with Laser) for $304.
Noticed and bought 2-50rd boxes of Remington Carbine 110 grn FMJ ball. Seen it was pricey but bought it anyway.
Cost was $33.91 including tax. 50 rounds, tax = .68~ per round.

See the same Remington L30CR1 on Bruces' link for $21.50 a box/50 @ .43 cent per round. Don't know shipping cost.......... but .25 cent per round cheaper is nice.
Dang thing is... I'm not nuts about Rem but was thinking about nice new brass at the time.

Now see the Century mixed surplus bag of 250rds @ .28 cents per rd.
Sooo could have had 150 extra rds (plus ship) for pretty much what I paid for 100.
Ahhh, impulse buying Grab it when you see it.
Think I'll order more ammo today!

I think SOG or Aim Surplus has some on sale for a lot less. I don't know if the sale is still on, but its worth a check.
