Painter; its enough to know that the band is original and has been seen on Inlands of the same period, and thanks for the info. Barrel date is 1-44. I think the serial number puts the finished carbine about March of '44. This one I'm pretty sure has been through a rebuild although there are no marks or import marks. There are other inconsistencies so I'm just calling it a rebuild or at least an 'upgrade' with re-Park at some unknown point, which is why I have never posted good detailed pictures of it. I guess I'll have to set it up and get some good pictures of it. If I ever do, I'll post them for what its worth. I do have this one that came out sharp.

    Inland 5,2 mil:

    Inland 5,09 mil:

Inland 5,06 with U flip sight. Unmarked T2 band. I need better detailed pictures, these were long ago and show no close up of the T2 unmarked band:

And a Inland 5,206, mil with no pictures yet, that has a T2 band with single / mark.

After digging a couple out, I realize I have quite a few pictures to take and update.

    FWIW,

That is a Very Nice Carbine and looks just way better. Now I seen 2 different angles of the Slash Markings. I love that Color on the Receiver and the Blued Barrel.

Mine has a triangle on it that became visible after cleaning. There is about 2/3 of the triangle itself visible but nothing inside I can make out

Thats OK just worn down, I wondered because of the front middle hole on top. Seems like I've seen SI and the Triangle/pennant with that hole. Good to go.

    Lucky you!

Thank you sir. it may be someone else that is lucky as I am going to throw it on ebay and someone will have a chance to get a correct part to finish their gun with any luck. I hate using that site but it certainly has the largest audience

    chaos,
I too am getting ready to sell/auction off some parts on 'the bay' a friend paid to much for a mixer at a estate auction. He shot it and found it was working only as a single shot and the single spent brass case wouldn't fully eject. When I looked it over for him I found the gas cylinder was cracked. I removed the barrel, he.... being p!ssed off about it, bent that barrel in to a U over his knee. Told him we could get another barrel, but he had had it. Asked if I would auction/sell off the parts for him to try to recoup some funds. I'd prefer to list on the WTB/WTS board but he needs top dollar..... still a coin toss, but I'll help as much as I can. I'll list the WRA springtube receiver on GB for him. Wish he wouldn't have bent the barrel because I believe I could have sent it out to a C&R holder. I thought about screwing it back on and describing it as a test model for shooting around corners, but he'd bent it so far it looked like you'd shoot yourself. Not that it would shoot, but I thought it was funny.... He wasn't feeling my humor at the time. Anyway rest of the parts will go on the 'bay' as like you said bigger audience. I'm just waiting until after the 4th to list. Besides selling after the holiday, it will only be in one month billing statement.

Your band I believe was only used by Inland in the late 4,9~ to early 5,5~ mil serial block, the transitional Inlands. Hard to find if you need one. Don't need one..... they'll be all over the place.

    Good Luck,
    Charlie-P777

Never going to be a show piece but looks better after a little cleaning, some oil and the screw being replaced. Never going to be a show piece, that is for sure
