That would be brutal, not just the recoil but the blast back from the ballisite cartridge...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Here is a picture of the training manual that shows how to aim the rifle grenades on the 1903 using the rear sight ladder.

RCS - Does the projectile go through the Frenchicon WWI grenade and the item is launched by the gasses from firing the ball round one would really want a clear passage through the grenade as it would be a bit of a folly to fire a live round into a grenade!

Ive seen a video of a fellow who used tape marks on his sling and by holding the sling taut with one foot and placing the butt on the ground he would have pre determined ranges.

Do you have a Ravenna Armory launcher? I have a Frenchicon made one which is ok but the Ravenna one are really nice.

Some had a collection of steel washers to capture the ball round...I'd have to dig to show you that info...
