Just posted photos from photobucket so it's still working as usual for me. It is extremely slow however.

Thanks to forward thinking Badger for integrating image capture software for this site many years back! I have roughly 10,000 photos on P'Bucket that are now basically useless! Now to figure out an alternative....

I assume the other forum I was posting on didn't have image capture software, lucky I kept all but two pics that were in one of the photo bucket accounts I had, I've deleted all the pics in the account and have deleted the account. Had the option of telling them what I thought and did so, seems a lot of folk have had similar experiences and have stuck two fingers up at them.

Have tried imgur and seems ok but from now on will save all future pics on my Mac and separate hardrive etc.

I'm still not understanding what the problem with photobucket is. It is slow but it still works. I don't pay for anything additional and my photos are still posting here.

It will work ok with Milsurps as it has image capture software as Jmoore pointed out, some other forums etc don't, so all my pictures on a dedicated Military vehicle site are no longer, unless I paid the highest tariff for photo bucket........ I was getting sick of the adverts anyway, just didn't expect the sudden "we want your money attitude", not the best way of running a business.

OK, I get that about the image capture. But I can still upload photos to here. I just did two days ago.

Yep you can upload here, but its OTHER forums, ebay etc that you upload pics to that seem to have the problem, the Military vehicle forum I'm a member of (HMVF.co.uk) don't have the software so a sign appears saying 3rd party hosting etc, and want over $400 to unlock them......... like I said it was great pleasure telling them why I was closing the account.

I tried Imjur and seems ok, no adverts as yet and no page loss like photobucket. It has effected a lot of folk according to the internet.

I'm not ready to accept Photobucket's latest blackmail and am willing to move to another photo hosting site. Any recommendation welcome.
    Thanks in advance.
