They are going down the list from largest to smallest users. My account was still hosting my images until 2 days ago. Now on all sites that I had images posted, (except here) there is the blackmail image in place of my pics.
You can still download your images to your computer, either one by one, or the whole album. Then upload to another host. I chose Imgur.

I list items on ebay. Did some yesterday. Instead of using the IMG link, I use the Direct link and it has worked fine.

Photobucket caught up with me last night. I got the notice about 3rd party sharing. Not sure what they think they will accomplish with this. I don't see very many people subscribing at almost $40 per month for the service. People will leave and then they will lose their ad revenue.

Probably, The other forum I frequent is the HMVF.co.uk (Historic Military Vehicle Forum) one member I know who posts on another vehicle forum has lost over ten years worth of photos etc, the site was a eral helpful site with the pics being a main source of info all gone in a second. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

During this past week Photobucket got to my account on the list. [sigh]

Thank goodness I only have 444 images stored there.. Their Download Album option refused (repeatedly) to work for me so I spent some time D/Ling the "savers" individually.

One thing that was a real eye-opener for me ...

... when trying to get Download Album to work, I also connected to Photobucket via both IE11 and Edge, in succession, thinking that Firefox might be the culprit.

I do not have ABP (AdBlockerPlus) installed on either of those proggies and found that without ABP both IE11 & Edge are just this side of unusable due to the MASSES of pop-up crap.

I will now checkout Imgur ... and any other reasonable alternatives that I can identify.

EDIT: To my eye, Imgur looks absolutely horrid ... off to find another solution ...

I can use facebook for posting but don't really like putting firearms on there as it is directly linked to me. Not that it wouldn't be difficult for anyone with motivation to make the links from photobucket, it's not simply broadcasting who I am. I never relied on Photobucket to store photos so not losing anything there. I still maintain them on my hard drives.

Imgur works great and is faster and easier than photobucket, thanks for the referral.

Got my Photobucket 'Blackmail' warning today, started having problems yesterday.
I've used them since I believe 09, the free account with 2.1 GB storage, currently using 0.4GB of 2.1GB equals 21%. Now to use the 3rd party hosting I'd have to step up to 5021 GB of Storage ???
So to get ANY 3RD PARTY HOSTING from them, I'd need the minimum PLUS 500 Plan AT $39.99 per month or $399.99 a year
Another forum I frequent won't allow 3rd party hosting because of older threads having pictures being removed/deleted.
Thinking about other sites, but leaning towards just storing on my own.

More information about Buckets plans if interested:

Photobucket Please review the latest changes at Photobucket. - Photobucket

    PLans and prices,

    Photobucket Plus Storage | Photobucket

I don't understand what LINKING is,
    Any Help appreciated

I just can't figure out who is going to pay $40 a month for something they have had for free for years and can get from somewhere else. Took me two minutes to sign up for Imgur and uploads were very fast and easier to put into albums than Photobucket. I don't know how much storage I have as I didn't check but since this is the only site I post photos on, doesn't matter as I can delete them if it gets full, they will be saved here.
