    1911 Magazine Pouch Attachment

I recently purchased a 1911, a replica not an original unfortunately. However, I was digging through my boxes of military gear looking for a web belt, holster and magazine pouch and found this one. It doesn't have a snap or anything on the back, just two parallel channels running vertically on the back.

My question is how exactly this is supposed to attach to the standard web belt or if it's designed to attach to the web belt?
