Interesting magazine I thought you might like to see

Not a valuable piece or factory but just a little know how from an old timer at some point. I can only assume this was made for hunting purposes or maybe shooting off a bench (which I highly doubt). It holds five rounds and functions perfectly, at least with the ammo I tried in it. The M2 makes very short work of it

Just a single burst with your M2. Someone put some work into making that.

Before the shorties were available I should think. Or someone with a dozen and just didn't want to pay for a 5 rd...

I didn't get the reason for the angle at the bottom - until I saw the last picture. Pretty slick! - Bob

And I don't care for that look. Takes away from the classic look, reminds me of an SKS.

Nothing personal but I don't care for the look either. Was it a Carcano (?) that also had a mag look like that also.

If it functions, it will sell on the Bay. Guys jump on 5rd mags.
I had a several commercial made 5 rders that sold high, much higher than I would have dreamed.
Might be buyers that have a hunting limit of 5 rds in the field, I don't know.
But I would surely list it if your selling your T2 band also.
mine were regular 15's that had a metal block filler in the bottoms, with original cut down springs.

I am probably just going to hold on to it as I like quirky things. It is not necessarily my cup of tea either but I can appreciate the work that went into it. I am a huge fan of the shade tree work on accessories to suit a purpose, not so much on bubba'd guns but I like the function of form home brew stuff

I made a five rounder from a 20 round M14icon magazine once for a Colorado hunting trip. I sure hated doing it but I found out about the five round restriction only a few days before our trip. Yep, I cut it off and bent the tabs just as this M1 carbine magazine has been done. It is more work than it looks too

    It worked (works) perfect
