If any firearm could be described as elegant I think it would be the 7mm Argentine & Brazilianicon Mausers.
    Long & sleek.

Germans did not want to lose the Argentineicon contract, but were overwhelmed with Turkishicon contract. They had the Custom House build the guns and all of the Argentine were made to commercial specs. The bolts may or may not fit a military Mauser. The best made of all of the Germanicon military rifles.

The Turkishicon contract was with the Mauser company . The Argentineicon 1909 was made by DWM , a different company , and had nothing to do with the Turkish contract .

In terms of quality those are some of the finest military rifles ever made. My pre-WWI G.98 DWM dealer's sample has the same DWM markings on the receiver rail but otherwise, only commercial proofs and is in the standard 7.92X57. Otherwise the resemblance is unquestionably Mauser.

I'd say the 1909 Argentineicon was about as good as it got.
