I'd be most grateful if you could please let me have information on L42A1 No. M 31392. Also, should you have any Envoy records, on rifle No. E 98.

    Many thanks,
    Terry

Well Simon, you certainly are performing a welcome service with this post! Hope it doesn't become too much trouble for you. If there is ever anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

When you get a chance to get around to it, here are mine, (without the L39 I have my eye on):

    Envoy - E 352
    L42A1 - X34261
    Enforcer - 062

    Thanks so much.

    Best regards,

    Terry

    Mick,

The handwriting is quite difficult to decipher but it looks like Rifle E1 was shipped out on the 02nd December 1969 to a Mr Ilbey (possibly Ibsey) of Liverpool.

    Cheers,
    Simon.

    Simon,

Your assistance is much appreciated. Many thanks!

    As a bit of a fluke, while the serial number of my L42A1 is M 31392, I have a No.4 Mk1(T) whose serial number is M 31382.

    Terry
