Gentlemen, any info on 12976 (no prefix letter)?

It’s the wrist number on an L42A1 I’ve bought but not yet received.

    Thanks,
    Trog

    Trog,

Your proposed L42A1 rifle serial number 12976 was one of 43 in the batch that was sent to Donnington on the 22nd December 1971 part of 69/671 UIN 405038/50.
Thats all the info we hold.

    Gil,

Thank you. If I may, what does the part after “1971” mean?

    Best,
    Trog

69/671 is the building extension on site 671 at Donnington which if you have ever been there will know it is a vast MOD storage facility, which stores from nuts and bolts to Challenger tanks!

I don’t know much useful info, but I’m definitely going to post photos of the rifle.

Thanks again. This is a really valuable service.
