Any idea of the contract, if possible guys?

    Afternoon all.

I wonder is it possible to work out the contract/user of a Mk3 Bren UE57A4803 any ideas?

Its on behalf of a NZicon based collector...

I would say it's a safe bet that it never strayed far.

UE55A2371 to UE57A5114 (And probably beyond) came out of the ROI. Some of those were new in the wrap with Britishicon stores tags.

When I read about Irish Contracts I always have a wry smile BP. With Britishicon Army stores labels? With the RAF 9E stores part number for Bren Guns too.......

Possibly sold to the Irish from U.K. Stocks. Happens a lot in the current defence industry. The RAF sold a number of their Typhoons to oversees buyers and then purchased a new contract which are yet to be built.

And on a slight Tangent, we just witnessed our first Typhoon being scrapped or "Harvested" as they call it (RTP for Typhoon).

It does seem difficult to understand the logic of those who make the decisions, at times, especially since we still operate the Tornado GR4 aircraft which is much older. Wasn't it just batch 1 aircraft of the Typhoon fleet that may be sold, B.P.?

Was that the example we were discussing a while ago BP that "pancaked" with only a few hours on the airframe some years back ... Or have they already started on the T birds?

F10, the RAF diverted block 2 production to enable expedited delivery to Saudi Arabia.

The RAF is replacing these with Block 3 jets.
