    Winchester Garand production run

The CMPicon has some Winchester M1s in stock, and I was wondering when Winchester started their production run on M1s and when they finished producing them.As I am looking for WW2 era M1s. Thanks

Here you go: NRA ARTICLE ON WINCHESTER GARANDS. Their contract went 1939-1945.

It's sort of a common knowledge thing, I'm surprised the guys selling them don't know that. Winchester only produced WW2...the later builds were two satellite companies that started up well after the fact.

    Winchester production

The first M1icon rifle sent to Winchester to study and evaluate was Springfield serial number 1607 in Sept 1938, none of the other firearms manufacturers receiver any examples.

Winchester production started in Dec 1940 and ended in 1945 with the Win 13

photo shows Winchester 100931 which had the serial number stamped on Jan 15, 1941Attachment 86380Attachment 86381Attachment 86382Attachment 86383

Another common knowledge item is that Winchester Garands are known as the poorest-finished yet most-desirable Garands. Hilarious but true.

My mistake, you are correct. I have been following the posts on the CMPicon forum and I thought some were saying that their orders were refused. Can't find those posts now, must have been my imagination.
