Looks like I have just landed a display item which has a dummy receiver tube but the rest of the parts are original. Best looking SMG ever IMHO. I am stoked just to have it for display but also wondering if there are semi auto conversions possible if i pop out and buy some more bits...anyone know this?

will checkem out thank you - how is the trigger group attached to the receiver? is it screwed together like an enfield or are we into brazing / welding territory

Both screwed and arc welded - badly!

This is the receiver/trigger group interface on a U.K. deactivated Lanchester. It's welded, securely, but the screws have been removed/dropped out.

I remember that WWA in England icon

had a skeletonised version of a Mk1* gun. Very nice but the mechanism is so simple and visiible as-is, it hardly seemed worthwhile!

What you mean, like this? It's U.K. deactivated as well as being skeletonised.

This is just my guess but I know for sure that the first Lanchesters were only screwed together. Then they were welded with the screws and then I've a feeling the screws were only there to locate the parts into position before the permanent welding fixed them in place.
