unknown. he just bought it.
issue I had in the past was most uss frames are worn. putting the new like slide on one made it stick out.
many collectors avoided it. what he's going to do with it is beyond me. im just glad i passed it on. I lost interest in building one when I hit that brick wall issue on worn frames being mismatched.

With the CMP .45 being now send out and many of them have been updated with new slides and other parts the demand for a correct and new WW2 class slide will be very high.
Common Rem Rand GI slides are bringing $200-$250 so a US&S if it were mine in that condition should sell in the $300-$350 range. I have a correct High Standard barrel in about the same condition as the slide if you need one.
Do you still have the H/S barrel? PM me with a price if it is still available, please.
Thanks.
Mike
I have a slide exactly like the one the OP sold. It's slightly used but excellent and Parkerized. I'd guess it's refinished. Weren't all of the USS pistols originally finished in Dulite blue or did they transition to Parkerizing like Colt and Remington Rand?
This is a cool video if you have not seen it before. No sound, but at 6:20 in it references the Du-Lite-ing of the parts. Stick around until 6:25 for the cutest Rosie the assembler you have likely ever seen! My grandfather worked at "The Switch" during the war until he retired. I live @ 8 miles from where it was located. The factory was torn down years ago, (though US&S still maintains a presence in Pittsburgh) and there is a run-down strip mall on the sight now.
