My No1 Mk3 Restoration back to original

My ALL matching 1917 BSA SHTLE with Canadianicon acceptance marks. Lucky to get this with ZERO rust or pitting. Im converting it from sport back to original. So far stripped metal of all oil...had to bring top wood to plain metal surface that part was ordered but had rust so i reblued...wood and metal treated so far i just need a forend. Ill add more pics as i go. Metal is soaking thats why so shiny. 100 year old brass now shines after ugly black stains and dull color removed. im usuall very strict with completely stripping metal down to bare virgin metal then rebluing but this baby ill leave as is for the worn look.

Your wood finish is beauty! Wax is good protectant, water just beads right off, but the BLOicon will keep it looking original and safe from the elements.
Good call keeping the metal finish as is, I think it looks best.

Even if you had shot it; without the full fore end and nose cap you would not have had a good idea of it's accuracy.
So make sure that when you get that fore end that you take the time to fit it properly. Lot's of info on this forum if you need it.
