    Type of rifles?

Hello this is my first post here at milsurp,I found you guys through canadiangunnutz. What brings me here is I might have a chance to get my hands on two old military type rifles and was wondering what make they might be. The first rifle has a 7pt star with a shield underneath it and a capital A in the middle of star and an A and C in the shield. It also has Lithgowicon 1917 and sht.le and roman numeral 3.The second one says bnp 303 and that's it for markings.Any info would be greatly appreciated.....thanks....J
