No 3 Mk1* (T) on Gunbroker

This is the second listing for this rifle as it didn't sell the first go round. I have compared this rifle with Badger's on the Knowledge Library.

Any thoughts on this one? It looks okay from the pictures in the auction. Hard to gage an accurate value as you don't see them too often for sale.

This forum is often asked to value various items and the general answer is "it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it", in this case it would appear to have been over valued, has the price been dropped since it was last offered for sale??

Thank you for the insight. I would agree with your assessment. It was listed at the same price previously. I have found that the first run on the auction is the best opportunity to sell at a fair price. Once an item is listed at an inflated value, people tend to lose interest in the item.

If it was worth the price you would see a bid or two even if it did not make reserve. Not even 1 bid after 2 kicks at the can would tell me the seller is asking too much.

Starting bid of $8500 and no bids....from a Canadian perspective, that would be between 11000 and 11600 depending on where our dollar is in relation to the USD, then one would add on import fees and tax at the border. Would end up being about a $12,500 rifle by the time it landed. Looks legitimate but for that kind of money I would want to be able to hold it and inspect it in person.

Once again, remember he still has a reserve on this gun (a bit stupid - either a reserve or a high starting price, but not both!) so if you want it you possibly are also required to pay more than $10,000 for this rifle!
