    Sten barrel line drawing.

I have to make up a MK2 STEN barrel dummy. I intend to turn it out of solid stock and drill an inch in to both ends for simulation of bore and chamber. The barrel is to be mailed to the buyer and installed into a cock and click dewat so I have to complete it and it needs to fit.

Therefore, does anyone have a line drawing of a STEN barrel that I can work from? I have PL's book but there's no line drawings, everything available on line gives me NOT what I need.

Does anyone have a simple machinist drawing? Inch drawing? Micrometer measurements?

If it's a PDF then message me and we can correspond by email.

    Thanks in advance...

Thanks, unless the book has detailed line drawings it won't help. The drawing he shakily held in hand in the vid is exactly what I need, not a how to. I have that cold. I couldn't even get a screen grab of the picture and see anything with clarity. I need outside diameters, like the collar, outside at the back, length from the collar to the rear edge and thickness of the collar.

Someone must have a barrel they can measure and share info...?

There was a thread, some time ago, where someone had a very early U.K. spec deactivated MK2 Sten that had a removable barrel, like a few of the early spec deac Brens. I can't remember who it was who had it but if they've still got it perhaps they can take some measurements for you?

This may have been it? http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=56537

Jim, I'll measure my original barrel for you tomorrow, unless you've already have the dimensions.

OK, the Mk. II barrel has 4 cylindrical sections. Here are the dimensions from Findlay, starting from the breech:
.845" plus or minus .0015" diameter, .535" long. This has to fit the barrel seating.
1.08" diameter, .250 long. This is the portion that sits against the barrel seating and contacts the barrel nut, to hold the barrel in place.
    .905" diameter, 1.295" long.
Balance of barrel to muzzle: .690" diameter.
    Barrel is 7.470" long.
    Corners are chamfered.
