It must make a cookie. It only lets you vote once. I could vote again after I restarted my computer. I've got nothing better to do. I'm just sitting around checking FedEx for progress on an order from the CandyMart Place.

A-Salt weapons are a MYTH. A case of "iffn it looks evul" it must be evul. By their standards a Civil War musket is "evil" because you can fit a bayonet to it. (removal of bayonet lugs being one of the requirements)

OOH HI-cap magazines Liberals have NEVER figured out what that little button does on the side of the reciever. (push button drop empty mag, insert fresh mag) Remember Luby's Cafeteria?

True A-salt weapons (ie: select fire) have been tightly controlled since 1933. You CANNOT buy them without submitting paperwork to the state and the feds and paying a $200 transfer tax. Without that, you can get free room and board in a federal institution for about ten years and your bank account will suffer greatly as well.
Last of all, semi-automatic rifles have been around since just after WW1.

Maybe you don't "need" an A-salt weaponm, but by the same token, you don't need a mercedes, caddilac, or a hummer when you can get around just as well in a hyundai or other puddle jumper

The following will be published in the local newspaper in response to a letter from an ammuntion ban advocate:

Mr. [Deleted] [Letters, March 14] points out that there may be a right to keep and bear arms, but the government should ban ammunition. What a delightful idea! And so useful to the government that it should not stop there.

We can have the right to vote, but the government can refuse to provide voting places or ballots. We can have freedom of the press, but the government can ban newsprint and ink. Freedom of religion? Sure, but no churches, synagogues or mosques are permitted. Freedom of speech? Of course, but the government controls telephones, radio and television.

This, needless to say, has been the practice in many other countries. A constitution may contain a long list of civil rights to which a tyrannical government gives lip service, while prohibiting the means by which those rights may be exercised.

Anyone with common sense would see Mr. [Deleted's] idea for the nonsense that it is. But in the wacky world of gun control, common sense is a scarce commodity.

    Jim

Just checked and as someone on CMPicon said, it appears the working folks are getting home and voting. The poll now shows 73% pro-gun rights and 27 anti-gun rights. Like Gomer used to say, "Golly!"

The poll has ended. The last I saw it was nearly 3 out of 4 pro 2nd amendment. I have never seen the results of a poll that went pro gun reported anywhere. Hope that isn't the case here.
