Full house white box ammo is sure a handful isn't it? I prefer to load it down more to the recoil and power of a .45 ACP.

You talk of onlookers Ovidio once when the boys were all shooting their 303's and K98icon's at the range my friend rocked up with his 460 Weatherby Magnum rifle not many people paid any attention to the hole in the end of the tube, now he loads that thing pretty hot with 500gn projectiles. Anyway Gavin let drive with this thing and all 8 shooters stopped firing and looked at us with the Mayor of Hiroshima look!
We had a couple of brave takers to fire it I had 2 rounds which was enough one chap had 1 round from the sitting position.

I always liked shooting my 44Mag Ruger Super Redhawk even though as you say full power loads are a handfull but luckily (Sometimes) I have dinner plate hands so I enjoyed it the only handgun that gave me a bit of a challenge was in Queensland that was the 500 S&W with factory loads now that did make my hand tingle a fair bit. Have fun Ovidio good looking targets by the way.

“Have fun Ovidio good looking targets by the way.”

I’ll certainly have tons of fun, thank you.

Already started to improve the targets.
The .22 is easy, I have to work on the .44, but results are starting to show up.
Too little time for shooting, plus the range (pistol one) closed last week and will only open again in 10 days.
All the holidays wasted for handguns.

The target hereunder is 24 rounds.
Apart from a couple mistakes, it really starts giving me satisfaction.
I hope I’ll be able to compete with the .44 next time and get me some more sour looks.

    I started reloading target loads.
A lot softer, while still “men stuff”.
I took some real magnum just because of the distance.
Shooting from a rest was fun and the boom impressing also for the other shooters, all with hunting rifles in .243, in 7mm RM and so on.

Better then, easier on both you and the handgun. I had some factory ammo that I tried to use up but couldn't. I put it through a trapper Winchester as fast as I could and it was still mean. I load to the spec of .45 ACP, about 900 FPS with a 220 gr flat point GC bullet. Nice heavy cartridge and effective feeling load. If I take a box of 50 I want to shoot more, if 100 I'm wanting to stop before the box is empty. So, I stop at the 50 now...have a better experience. Brass lasts a long time too...

Getting better with the 29 (still pulling a couple shots every now and then. 20 rounds target at 15 meters), but next Sunday I’ll finally put my hands on the long sought after 27-2.
    Can’t wait for it anymore!

While I shoot my revolvers, my son will be shooting my Walther PP Sport .22 right by my side.
We started shooting toghether in January and the thing is really getting us as close as possible.
What a wonderful thing shooting really is.
I wish everybody would just give it a try before talking about firearms!
My son is growing before my eyes each time he takes the pistol and loads it.
It is such a great lesson in responsibility and maturity.
I really am looking forward to our first “hot weather” session and to our first “ale” or “prosecco” and chatting session after it.
Will take some more time due to age, but it’ll come!!!

That is coming along nicely Ovidio! I run Elmer Keith's load of 22 grains of Hercules 2400 behind a 245 grain hard cast flat point, and a positive crimp. Superbly accurate (sub 2" groups at 100 metres) and really knocks things over. In my 8-3/8" M29 it is getting 1500 FPS and the cases just fall out when unloading. I use Pachmayr grips which make the gun quite pleasant compared to the wooden factory grips.

    Now I have a problem!
A guy called me answering to an old request of mine and offered me this 27-2 for 700€.
It is a good bit less than I found until now, but it is also 250 km from home.....
What do you guys think about this piece?
I have to call this guy back today in the evening if I want it.

Looks nice cond Ovidio from the pictures what I gather is the cylinder has minimal pawl wear, not to much scuffing on the crane, no loss of bluing from the muzzle or cylinder sides that can be discerned from the pics from holster wear (if he used one), front of the cylinder looks clean as, screw heads are not marred up suggesting he has not had a go at the internals, any chance of a test firing 250k's on the bike on the twisty roads is only a few hours!

I would be happy with it but haggling the price may be in order as that equates to $1100 of our money perhaps 600-650Eu sounds better......good luck

Looks flat new. The drag marks are from him playing with it, there's no residue on the cylinder face. You didn't show us the recoil shield but the I don't think it's been more than proof fired. It has a target hammer and trigger so you won't be able to double action it worth a damm but most guys can't shoot that way anyway. Looks like the chambers have been chamfered too, some special features, should be a good shooter. Comes to just over $1000 CDN so it's a bit more than I'd want to pay but it's about new...so not a loss of money. Agree with Cinders, try to beat him down just a bit.
    Regards, Jim
