Berthier 07-15 value

Have the chance to buy a Remington-made Berthier 07-15 in truly mint condition. Seller wants $1800-- is this a fair price?

Very overpriced, most of the Remington's never made it over to France and most of those that did make it over were rejected and required rebuilding. A Remington 07-15
with French overhaul markings is more of a collector example but none of these rifles (my opinion) is worth $1800
