    My "Spud" gun

The Lil' spud gun I own, well I must say its a bit fancy it fires caps as well (never knew that bit)the bore is of the eliptical type you will note.

We made up lemon guns looked a bit suss in a vege shop sizing lemons through a 75mm ring of PVC but it was effective punching through a hardi flex fence at @80 feet we found Aeroguard was good but the best was Aerostart would fire the lemons out of sight. If caught by the Police with them its a serious offence with one losing the real firearms owned.......so gave it up.

Great fun back then, mind you we also played with pointy sticks. Back in the day we would watch Ivanhoe and go outside after and loose the dogs of war with our homemade swords. Long days out on the slough on our rafts made from pallets and whatever else we could scrounge pretending to be Tom and Huck. We had it pretty damn good back then when most of the time all we had to play with was our imagination.

I think my poor old GI Joe went through so many battles losing an arm in the process, he never knew defeat at the hands of the grey plastic toy soldiers that always attacked from the black sand we had in our garden he always had a good supply of marbles (aggets( agg-ets) to repel the invaders.
We made Billy carts, canoes out of corregated iron & pitch they always turned turtle or leaked like a sieve, sliding down grass hills with cardboard, tree cubby houses & underground ones as well (highly dangerous but we were kids!) life was free and grand like being chased by the oval keepers bulldogs, hiding in piles of leaves to jump up from & scare people, skinned knees and stubbed toes were the order of the day.

Yes E the 60's were a time that was the best of all we knew no fear nor a care in the whole world just good mates playing in the sunshine...............

    And then there was Joe.

GI Joe fought with GI Aussie and GI Russianicon against GI Germanicon, GI Jap, etc. I've got eleven of them with an M1919, mine sweeper, M1icon Garands, Carbines, 1911s, bazooka, Nabu pistols, well, you name it.

Imagine putting that up to your head Gil to receive a call be funny if the speaker was in the barrel you would have every do gooder and Physc saying don't do it!!!!!!

Nice GI Joe Bob the 60's figurines are now quite the collectible especially if you have all the fruit that goes with them the boxes are sometimes worth as much if not more.
I have my Dads Corgi Mercedes Pullman maroon colour with the working wipers still in the original box with the instructions all in pristine condition I have other old toy cars he had but cannot seem to find much on the net about them may dig them out of the container they are in and post some pics. Thanks for the share Bob

Had a black one like that. Modified it to shoot .177 pellets through a Parker pen refill barrel with a cap to ignite and black powder from fireworks as propellant. Worked well till the hammer came flying past my ear

Do you remember making wooden match shooting guns from your Mom's clothes pins? Lots of fun until I set the grass on fire. Then my butt was on fire from the paddling.

We used a rubber band, this video uses glue.
