Does anyone know when the 1903 and 1903A3 Springfields were shipped to Greece? I bought five of them back in 2001 from CMPicon and they are all very nice. Two Rock Islands, two Springfields and one Remington '03A3. One is a 5-30 barrel date in it's original Springfield C stock that's my favorite shooter. It sports a San Antonio Arsenal rebuild stamp. The Remington '03A3 is excellent but has also been through rebuild in the USAicon prior to being shipped to the Greeks.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Brian Dickicon: I did see a chart years ago listing countries, dates, and number of rifles received. I'm on low signal strength in Maine right now. A high speed search using military assistance program with 1903 and Greece would be a good start.

Lyle Your pics look good for a Remington A3 rebuild. The C stock is a shooting bonus for comfort and sight picture in all positions. The bullet test looks to me like around 2 1/2- 3 (1 is new). Well within specs but well used. If seller will come to 7-800 you will have a fine rifle.
Melt off all that greasy greek stuff and enjoy!

$860 and climbing with 2 hours left to bid. Its on gunbroker if anyone is interested. I think he could get his price but I am out. To many available and I am looking for a shooter, not a safe queen.
    Thanks for all the help.

Smart man, keep an eye out on the forums too. They are out there, with better barrels.

I wouldn't want it at any price. The grease on Greek returns is usually deep in the pores of the wood, & you can never get it grease-free. There have been many attempts, such as wrapping it in newspaper & leaving it on they dashboard of your car for weeks, but the grease will always seep out when the rifle gets warm.
