    Another M1903 Springfield

I spotted a 1903 Springfield at a gun store and made the mistake of telling a good friend about it and he bought it before I could. Not really a big deal though I asked him if he wanted it, I would have bought it if he hadn't.

I was looking up the serial number 1525685 and the information I've found shows that it was made in 1938, is there a place where I can confirm that?

The very last of the '03's are quite interesting. Many NM's in the pile.

One one number before yours went to Frankfort Arsenal for pressure testing.

I'm not sure if that means it was made into a Mann pressure devise or not.

Do they take them out of the field to test? That rifle was made in 1938 but the one you posted tested in 1945.. Odd...
