Help identifying what i have, SA 1903 of some sort??? Thanks!

Hello everyone I have a Springfield Armory 1903 of some sort but don't know anything at all about these rifles. Rifle was handed down from my grandpa. I searched the serial number database and it puts this rifle in production ~1932. Couldn't find any barrel markings and the front site looks different than what i've seen in pictures. Please help me make sense of what I have. Your comments are greatly appreciated, thanks!

You are confused simply because your 1932 vintage (model 1903) Springfield rifle was completely 'Sporterized'.

The stock is now a commercial stock, the military sights were removed, the metal was polished & refinished, the barrel was shortened and a commercial front-sight installed.

It use to be common to do this to military surplus rifles in the 1950s - 1970s.

Thank you for your reply, the differences make sense now. Is this sporterized 1903 worth anything?

I'd say 250 to 350 depending where you are in the country. Down in the SW I see them in that range at shows. How's the bore?
