Standard Products Carbine That Sold 12-2010

Came across this while trying to find the name of the Inspector RWH.
Besides the price, the stocks pistol grip really jumped out at me.
Most all the metal polished Blue.

I'd like to be able to better see the 2 partial Butt stocks that were joined to make the Display stand.

    $8625.00 (Plus Fees ? )
Curious if others would pay this much for this one?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Such a small supply, I wonder how many people would know difference between presentation/experimental vs. commercial, reproduction, humped, etc. without prior knowledge and/or provenance?

Think most auction houses like RIA list final prices including the premium.
That would put the RIA sale at $7,500.
Same one sold at Julia in '09 for $5,500.

So few out there, a really important one just sold at RIA for 25k so I guess 5-7k is a deal?

I was fortunate enough to acquire one of these STD PRO presentation carbines about 10 years ago, and still have it. It has no serial number, but the parts date it to near the end of production in April 1944. The stock is the normal USGI profile (high wood), but is the same select tiger stripe wood. All original matching parts. Carbine metal is blued Dulite. Even has matching SS marked 15 rd mag.

It was mentioned Carbine Club's Newletter 350.

Too bad it can't be imported back in to the USAicon. Based on these auction results a few years ago, I could pay for a real nice holiday.
