    one of mine is matching.

It may well be the only matching VZ54 in Canadaicon.

Certainly it's one of the few in America del Norte.

From what I understand, until the imports of the last 10 years or so, the majority of the VZ54 in the US seemed to have been Vietnam capture bring backs.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. There were only a couple hundred imported to Canadaicon in the 90's early 2000's so they are quite rare. I've only seen a couple of others over the years. The majority had mismatch scope/bracket assemblies but one of the three I've seen was all matching. Mine, (one of the three), also has a mismatch scope/bracket but is in otherwise excellent condition.

I'm not sure about captures from Vietnam but it makes sense. The three I've seen are excellent plus condition and I'm guessing they all came from Canada.

    Good Day,
I found mine in Germanyicon about 7 years ago. It belonged to the Western Europe importer of the rifles. Before returning to the US with it, I was able to shoot the rifle at Bisley and can attest that is has a stout but manageable recoil.
    Regards,
    Michael

My record was three Vz.54 snipers total, but sold two of them and only kept the best one... but at least mine has a ZG51Sn ancestor sitting right next to it!

Mine's rifle number V3164 and scope bracket number V3131. It's pristine just like Mike's. It is the example used by ATF FTB in 2005 for addition to the Curio and Relics list.
