    Local Display Show

Six months ago a friend and I saw the upcoming ad for a display show in Washington. So we put our older minds together to see what we could come up with. It had to have a theme with an educational flow. We had three tables and this barely fit on two, leaving us a sale table as well. Two hour drive each way plus the eight hours a day show took a tole with my health issues, but it was enjoyable and worthwhile.
My hope was/is to generate interest in our hobby to younger generations. Wanting to keep alive the history of something I have collected for over forty years.
I thought it turned out pretty nice. Lots of people stopped to read and ask questions. With many being forty and under.

We weren't supposed to taker pictures, but the stealth camera had a mind of it's own.

Mounted my scope on a shooter Underwood. It got the most chatter and comments.

Even had a commercial and sporterized section

And the result of all of our work was:

The bad, my 2x, scope, M1A1icon's, Winchesters, bags, will probably never get displayed like this again. But it was a very enjoyable weekend.

When all is said and done, this work by you guys probably did more for the gun owners of America and specifically the carbine owners than anything done before it. Kids like carbines, women love carbines, people who don't care for guns like carbines. They are the cutest, lightest and most fun deadly weapon ever produced. Anything done in this fashion is worthwhile. The story behind these things is even better. It was what we could do as a country when something HAD to be done and fast. 75 years later they still soldier on and are worth more than ever before. That means they are VALUED more than ever. Mission accomplished Brother.
