No1 Mk1*** resteration
Here is my restoration project so far. New Wood, Magazine, Sliding Charger and even a nice Parker Hale Sight. What do Y'all think of the before and after.

I gather thats a gouge on the right side of the butts wrist, did you fit the woods yourself as it is hard to discern if there is a small gap between the socket and butt wrist as it is a taper fit so the socket does not contact the outer edge of the butts wrist which tends to knock chips out of it after repeated firings.
Nice old rifle the bolt chargers are not an easy find so good pick up there.

Mark 1*** rifles
I have restored two which only required the correct nose caps and fore-end wood. I have found Mark 1*** handguards but these are also difficult and most modify the inside of a Mark III handguard. Best bet is to try and splice in a longer piece on a sporter fore-end or
else go with the Mark III fore-end with the volley sight (another difficult item to find).
Good thing most barrels were not cut back and restorableAttachment 88232Attachment 88231
4th rifle from left is a ConD ii* Enfield 1907

You check the headspace before spending any money? A complete restoration is going to be expensive too.
