ZF4 Scope and Mount
I am new to this site and forum, but wanted to reach out for some help on the value of a couple items I inherited many years ago.
The first is what I understand to be a ZF4 scope and authentic scope mount. I've been told the mount is likely more valuable than the scope itself, but don't know much beyond that. The scope glass is fine and the scope itself works well. Unfortunately the leather strap near the one cap end tore when I removed the crop to check the scope.
Attached are some detailed pics of the Waffenamt codes and other markings as best I can.
Looking for opinions on what the items here are worth if I were to sell them.
I'll create a second discussion for a rifle I inherited as well.
I appreciate the help!

This mount is quite valuable, the price for sure would exceed $1500 if you were to sell it. A rainshield and rubber eyecup to go with it would make it even more valuable, but at least yours got the original leather cover.
Yours would be a later mount with phosphated bands and phosphated mount. The 4209 is the serial of the rifle it was originally issued with. The 359 acceptance means production by Walther (if my memory serves me right).
Do not split up the whole mount since during this process most are damaging the screws or the bands - it will anyway bring more money when it is complete.

Are ZF4 parts available anywhere? I have a spare here, (scope only w/lens caps), but it's missing the elevation drum cap.

The elevation drum cap is often missing. You might be able to get a reproduction cover. Scopes are far more common than mounts.

Are there any common sources for the parts over there? Thanks.
