A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. What ever the buyer is willing to pay, though you do not say what year, maker nor condition.

The woods can be sorted fairly easily but what can command a good premium is a low production year that the rifle was made some one will have the list.

Some pictures would help a lot here as there are so many things that can effect its value. It also varies greatly country to country.

I was going to say $350 dollars................then came across this not far off and about where it sits if the bore is good. As said earlier wood is out there at a good price if you want a shiny piece of history. Or is this the one you are after???

The green band is exactly how our range rifles were painted in cadets for use on the rifle range no parade ground stuff with those ones the others we paraded with had either a Red Band or a Yellow band which never went to the range though we were allowed to fire blanks from them when out on bivouac.
