Is it not possible to make 30-40 Kragicon from 303 Britishicon? Anneal neck and (barely) shoulder) Size in Krag die, which will reduce the neck and push back the shoulder, which in its turn ought to increase the length v. slightly. Then fireform. Maybe not perfect, but rather than let the rifle gather dust.....

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. You can but you end up with a vastly shorter casing. There is a rim difference too. Yes, it works.

Graf and Sons still has Kragicon brass in stock. That's where I got mine. I haven't loaded any of it yet because I'm still using the reformed .303 brass I got before the Krag brass became available.

The reformed .303 brass works fine. Neck is a little shorter than Krag brass but still longer than the original .303 necks because the shoulder was set back.

I've had no trouble loading ammo to the correct overall length.

Edit: Looks like Graf has the Hornady brass back in stock for a slightly lower price. Now you have a choice of two brands of Krag brass.

Yes, the bullet sticks out but it's fine. Hard to do if you use a shorter boat tail bullet.

Midway has Hornady 30-40 brass on sale right now for $36 for 50 cases. Not really all that cheap, but it's available.
