Got them! As soon as I’ll be over my Passchendaele book, I’ll get back to the Korean Peninsula for a while...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Very interesting.

It took me some time due to the busy period, but I read it through.
Very interesting book, lots of information and a very helpful analysis of the cultural differences between the US and the UKicon mentality at war.
The chapter that really got me the deepest were the last two though: In Enemy Hands: The Camps and In Retrospect.
The presence of UK or Commonwealth traitors or collaborators has reminded me a lot of the tragic influence such people had for the Italianicon prisoners in the Sovieticon Union during WWII, where they encouraged the worst tratment and also the killing of Italian prisoners in order to make the war a bloody and hard lesson for the Italians.
Togliatti, the much revered communist leader has such a responsibility in the tens of thousands of deaths, that he should burn in hell for eternity, but here he is still considered like statist of the greatest level.
In any case, thanks for the suggestion, it has been a really greatly interesting reading.
