    BNZ 4 Mixmaster Project

I am just finishing up this project. I started with an action and have been collecting up parts for awhile. I found the Bubba chopped stock at a gun show for $20. Still need to replace that Israeli lower band with a stamped one. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves-- Salt Flat

Alex, Thanks-- This will probably raise some eybrows. I have been experimenting with using poplar. You can buy it at most hardware stores for just a few dollars. I like it because it shapes very easily with a small plane and a rasp and it will take any stain color. This makes it easy to match up the color of the original stock. It is a little softer than than a hardwood and I probably wouldn't use it in areas that are more stressed. I was pretty happy though with the way this came out after staining. Salt Flat
