    I'm sure that Pakistan got No4MkI(T) rifles at and after partition, just like India. They certainly manufactured No4MkI & No4Mk2 rifles during the 1950s and possibly into the early '60s.

    I've never seen a No4"T" rifle which showed manufacture by them.

    However about 10-15 years ago LARGE quantities of POFicon replacement wood sets (mostly nice walnut) came onto the commercial market, and have been used to "restore" and repair lacking rifles (including No4T's).

    Ya it is definitely a 44 BSA rifle [M47C] has no POFicon rebuild markings but the cheek piece looks like it has been on there for a very long time all the bands and wood is marked POF 58 pads looks like they have been on there for a very long time also. mount and scope are repo.
    Would it be worth anything close to the $2500 CA he is asking?

    It all gets down to the condition of the rifle & its bore if your happy to have repo bracket/scope ( repo scopes apparently do not have a good reliability track record) set up then I guess it is reasonable but I do reiterate the condition of the bore plus the rest of the mechanical's are whats important when I got my T '44 M47C yes all looked good except the draws were flogged to bu**ery and back again.
    You need to check it over or at least get some pictures detailing all the stamping's a look at the rifling & muzzle, so the real knowledgeable persons he can at least give an opinion on it.
    Its so very hard for them not being able to hold & examine the weapon.

    Remember,

    Buying something has 2 rules;
    A) How much you want the item.
    B) How deep your pockets are to acquire the item.

    Would this be one posted for sale recently up here? I saw one recently but can't remember which website and the only things Pakistani on it appeared to be bands and, maybe, other minor bits. It appeared to be a kosher BSA-based "T".

    Tried to do pics but unable. I'm 100% sure of what it is I was mistaken on markings on the wood only POFicon markings are on the butt painted on ser. match on forestock , butt , bolt , & receiver. TR marked on L/S wrist no mid screw a guy could easily bring it back to BSA spec when it became a T rifle by just cleaning it up and replacing the bands. You would be stuck with a repo scope & mount unless you found a real one but could live with it.
