    Finally went to the range

Its been over three years since I fired any of my firearms. Due to taking another person hunting this year I had to verify the sights on a third rifle and check the other two for movement. In the process, decided to take some of my never fired stuff.

Ruger 10/22 takedown: Somewhere between taking the ammo out of storage and putting it into my shooters bag, it got lost. So I used my son-in-laws and his was hollow point which I know you aren't supposed to use in these so it did jam on me once. Didn't sight it in, just made some noise.

Thompson - This was very stiff. Oil probably would have helped a lot. Shells extracting with a lot of scratches so I believe it has a chamber which needs polishing. Jammed about every 3rd shot but did seem to improve the more we shot it. Shoots way low at 30 feet, 4 inches or so, not sure if that is normal to allow it to be better at long range but didn't take the time to experiment with it. Just wanted to make sure it worked. Need to so some tweaking before taking it to the range again.

PPS-43 - This was a blast to shoot and I easily was knocking down the plates right off the bat. Awkward holding it without a stock but still very easy to shoot and seemed like the ammo went forever with that 30 round magazine.

JP Sauer 1913 - Was a bit nervous with this one since everything with it feels light but it performed flawlessly and for a 100 year old mini handgun, that's fine by me. Coudn't hit anything with it but wasn't too far off, I could see the bullets hitting the dirt behind the plates. I was shooting at about 40 feet so I should have moved closer.

Spanish Astra 400 - Spent a lot of effort finding 9mm Largo ammo for this and the blasted stuff didn't fit. Turns out it is actually standard 9mm which really surprised me. Need to sit down and do some further research with this one. In any case, very accurate and easy to aim and shoot.
