Is the article wrong or am I just not getting it?
Even if the article is correct, It will eliminate the smaller sellers and surely increase the cost from both the selling and receiving Vendors willing to comply with the BS from the DOJ.
Imagine the paperwork and more than likely increased insurance liability costs among other things.

Back when we would do State Gov, Fed Jobs..etc I knew to increase our prices 50-60% from our normal starting prices......... just too many hoops to jump through.

"The stores can't display the ammunition" Yea that evil ammo.... hide it. But OK to display Porno mags at the counter next to where a kid is looking for a candy bar... Jeezzzeee

I fully agree with you on the No voters. Seemed like the loudest gripers all had one thing in common...... Didn't vote.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about the Internet/mail sales being ok via a registered with DOJ Vendor.

Last thing, Why DOJ? Shouldn't this be a BATF issue?

Yes, you will be able to have the ammo sent to an FFL, for now, my FFL said something about another requirement later on. The DOJ is State and the BATF is federal. The State seems to trump them. For instance; I have a type 3 C&R FFL in any other state I could do an FFL to C&R Transfer or a C&R FFL to C&R FFL transfer. If I lived in Texas and I bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 on Gunbroker, the FFL selling it could send it right to me; I would then log it into my book and file the paperwork.

In California not only do I have to have my Type 3 C&R FFL I have to have a DOJ Certificate of Eligibility that cost 98.00 for the paperwork, background check and electronic fingerprinting (yes the same stuff you do to get your FFL) But if I order the same Mosin Nagant 91/30 on Gunbroker here in California I have to have the rifle sent to a type 1 FFL who will a.) charge me the same transfer fee I would pay without a type 3 FFL ($35.00 up to $100.00 depending on where you go) AND I have to process a DROS which is the California registration and background check, another $25.00. To top it off, I still have to log the rifle in my FFL book and file the paperwork to meet BATF rules.

Then I can take the rifle. So you pay the same as someone without a Type 3 FFL the only difference is you don't have a 10 day waiting period UNLESS it's not a C&R. If I buy a new rifle I still have to wait for the 10 days to see if my background check clears even though I have a DOJ Certificate of Eligibility.

    LOL

That'll never happen in the breadbasket or southern states, I'm surprised DT hasn't kicked Cali out of the union yet. I've never been there, and in the few years I've got left, I'm pretty sure never go...

    Billy Baker,
I really do feel for you... I do. How dare you serve your country
But the more I read the higher my blood pressure is rising !
As usual what happens out there will end up (lightly watered down) out in the NE and neighboring states.
After spending a week visiting my Daughter in Maryland this past summer and seeing the restrictions on gun owners there, I could never explain how nice it was to get back home.

Thx for the replies and Good Luck getting to Texas..... ASAP

"You can not buy ammo in another state and bring it in."

I was thinking just come over here but reading that, I guess that would eliminate taking the 3:10 to Yuma.
Well that's just one more thing the BP can search for in their check points on my trips over to SD.
