    Identification Help

Just added my first Arisakaicon rifle to my collection. My father-in-law picked this up from a neighbor and gave it to me. I'm thinking it is a naval cast iron receiver type 99, but I'm not sure. The bore is rifled, nice and bright. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I read somewhere that they were made by the Italians for the Jap Navy and the parts may not interchange.

Those were the Type I rifles, completely different rifles made with a Carcano action not Arisakaicon action.

    Isn't that a naval type 99 trainer?
The bolt looks like the type for firing blanks.
