Hi. Front hole is definitely Bubba. The rear hole is where your ejector screw should be.

Yes, have the feeling it was for a scope mount of some description...

seen bubba put old side mount on like that hole pattern. Put new ejector screw in place. an find a filler screw for front hole making sure its is flush in side.
