    Lebel parts needed

I just picked up a Lebel rifle that is missing a magazine spring, end cap, and follower. Does anyone have an idea as to where to look? Thanks for the help.

There are easy to purchase modern shotgun magazine springs that work very well, best is to talk to someone who has done this work
as your rifle can be restored. Check out other websites for a "Frenchicon forum" concerning military weapons for more information.

Try Dale at Birmingham Pistol Parlor in Alabama. If he doesn't know where to get them, no one will. His email is: vonmazur@aol.com.

    Lebel parts needed

I have found this in Franceicon:
    Ressort de magasin Lebel

And this one, the auction is closed but you can ask to the seller if other springs are available:
    https://www.naturabuy.fr/Ressort-mag...m-3067347.html

    Hope it will help .

Dale has the parts. Only trouble is the cost as much as I spent on the rest of the rifle. Not that I'm complaining. They haven't made parts in 80 years!

Well, all I can add is that the rifle isn't much good without them.

Actually winding and setting a new spring from piano wire is not that tricky.. you can do it on a (metal) lathe with a winding tool made of a lump of wood with two nails in it. once you have wound it stick it in a metal pan with kero and sump oil and burn it off...! Making the end cap however is going to be fun - internal thread of unknown form!

That said, I rarely use the mag on my Lebel.. even using the new PPU ring base cases the thought of all those points next to the primers kinda puts me off a bit!
