    2/14th Light Horse Beersheba 100th anniversary

    Came across this some good stuff on parade must say the horses were fairly calm with all the people and armoured cavalry around.

    Just a question seeing as the M1A1icon is now our front line MBT have we kept the Leopards as a secondary backup tank or have they been sold off!

    Okay try this one it is half the length of the previous one perhaps they saw it as giving away too much details on our current weapons it plays for us in Aus anyway have not looked at all of it but as above its not bad.
    Thank goodness the Turks did not lower their sights on their artillery & rifles as the charge progressed otherwise it may have had a different ending for our brave troops.

    Plus I know which one I would rather be in heading towards entrenched troops with artillery support........!

    Cinders the Leopards were put up for auction in 2008 along with what was left of the Iroquois fleet, the were under canvas at Bandiana awaiting disposal.

    What did they go for Aussi any info, I think I saw a while ago a Centurion tank for $55K but that was a long time ago but in the last 2 years ago on usedguns a chap had advertised occasionally a Stuart for $300K also there was that faker Sherman for $75K on the same site.

    Don't quote me but I believe they were sold for $65,000 each, 25 were earmarked for RSL Clubs. less engine, cut barrel and breech block welded shut.

    Yep right there Aussie48 we had one go to Collie 100 K's from where I live in W.A I posted pics a fair while ago of it the other one went to a military museum in Dardanup W.A 27 klms from me.

    Here's the one in Collie.
